Camp Information

When a boy and his family join Cub Scouting, they're joining an organization that values the fun and excitement of the outdoor experience. Our goal is that 1/3rd of a scout's program will be dedicated to positive outdoor experience. Scout Camp can help Cub Scouts and their families reach this goal.

Information and resources for the various scouting camps including Summer, Day, leadership training are available here.

Day Camp offers a fun-filled week of activities including field sports, nature, archery, BBs, water activities and arts & Crafts. All areas place a special emphasis on safety procedures. We have 1 week of Day Camp available, held at Camp Doucet in Nashua (off Exit 1).

Day Camp is 100% volunteer staffed. We need YOU! (Parent volunteers who have young children are welcome to bring them along... we have a FREE program at camp called the Tag-A-Longs). Scouts entering grade 1 in September 2008 may go to Day Camp as Tiger Cubs and must attend with an adult partner (who is no charge). Volunteers are REQUIRED to attend a day camp training course within the last two years.

More information on Day Camps available in New Hampshire, including dates and eligibility can be found here.

During camping, Scouts and parents can use the extensive waterfront for swimming, boating and fishing, or head out to the Archery and BB ranges. Or, they may choose to try their hand at crafts, enjoy a nature hike, or participate in one of the many special events offered each weekend. And, no camping experience is complete without the spirit-filled campfire held each Saturday evening.

Campers sleep on cots within raised tents on wooden platforms (tents & cots are provided). This is a great way to learn what camping is like at Camp Carpenter.
